Balloon rides take place at sunrise, usually starting around dawn. The exact time shifts with the season—we’ll give you a specific pickup time when you book. It’s an early start, but well worth it for those spectacular views.
Yes. Ballooning is one of the safest forms of aviation. Our pilots are FAA certified with extensive training, and all equipment is meticulously maintained and regularly inspected. Safety comes first on every single flight.
Dress in comfortable, casual layers suitable for being outdoors. Closed-toe shoes are required (sneakers or boots work great). Temperatures aloft are similar to the ground, but California mornings can be cool, so bring a light jacket. Avoid loose scarves or hats.
Weather determines whether we can fly safely. If conditions aren’t suitable, we’ll reschedule your flight for another day at no additional charge. We monitor the forecast closely and will contact you if there are any concerns.
Children must be at least 2 years old to fly. The typical weight limit is 250 lbs per person. Please contact us if you have any questions about fit or mobility—we want everyone to be comfortable.
We keep groups intimate—typically 4–10 passengers per balloon depending on the package. Our private flight option is ideal for a more exclusive experience, and we can arrange larger groups across several balloons. Just give us a call.
